Chapter 26
Madame Dearborn was mauled by the kittens she uses to make the coats....?
She’s like dying
But, before dying, she tells Kirilow hella shit
Turns out Isabelle chow and HoST are tryna make something to separate the mind from the body and need Grist DNA to do it hence the kidnapping of everyone
Also, Kirilow’s in danger because she can make “forget me do” (the shit in the forgetting teas) which is v valuable in order to make more and better N lite which we don’t know what that shit is
We later find out N lite is basically a hallucinogen
The Cordova school is ground zero for the Grist Village
The starfish that they met hella early (like the Salty that gave Peristrophe tiger flu) is named Carmela Sweetwater and she died before the army attackt
Ehmmm I think that’s it, yeah it’s wild lol
Chapter 27
Kora’s like, “Fuck, I don’t wanna go back to this damn school”
She runs into a procession of girls mourning the loss of Miss Dearborn
Modesta is shitty and tries to steal the scale Kora’s watching -- oh yeah, explanation, Kora uses her halo thing to insert scales to like watch YouTube and shit
She also lowkey accuses Kora of knowing something about the missing catcoat
There’s an assembly tomorrow to figure out where tf this coat went and anyone not there will be beaten
Kora’s hand is bleeding (from when she saved K2 from being attacked by dogs) and she’s taken to the nurse
Chapter 28
Kora goes to the doctor who reminds Kirilow of someone from the village
Kora’s hand is super infected and she has wet gangrene, so Kirilow has to amputate her hand
Kirilow tries to sleep but can’t, so she goes into the night
Chapter 29
Kora realizes her hand is gone and naturally freaks out
Tania and Velma are there and are unhelpful af
Velma keeps talking about this stupid ass tiger men party and it’s like “GIRL, tact!”
She then slips whiskey into Kora’s tea, which causes Kora to involuntarily show the scale image of Isabelle Chow crying about her lover
Tania is pissed and says Myra will be MORE pissed. So she takes the scale from Kora and runs
Kora’s left there and there’s a catcoat underneath her bed, which she takes and sneaks into the night with
Chapter 30
Kirilow is walking at night and a weird man approaches her
She defends herself, but the man says Calyx is at the party and it’s like fuckkkk
He gives her a scale which p much has the deets to the party and, especially after seeing Kora is gone too, she goes into the night to attend
Chapter 31
So Kora goes to this party for God only knows what reason.
She takes N-lite which is a drug with Myra who I guess we’re trusting now lol
They gather with the tiger men to share collective memories and there’s something about wine and a rug and it was all just very trippy and confusing
Also, apparently cat coats are both alive and make you invisible...?? Cuz Kora found the lost cat coat and gave it to Myra
They run into K2 who leads them to an elevator with hella Grist sisters...?
Kora is forced into an elevator and goes to a floor where she sees Charlotte and Uncle Wai...? And they’re saying something about how Wai shouldn’t have betrayed his brother (basically Charlotte used to be with Wai’s brother, but then left his ass for Wai. Wai’s brother was mad influential so it was like a weird exchange that left everyone confused)
Then she goes back downstairs and sees Isabelle chow who asks her to rid of Marcus Traskin (leader of the 100 tiger men and pacific pearl parkade)

Chapter 32
Kirilow finds Kora and they go down an elevator together
Kora’s a starfish
Kirilow wants to GTFO, but Kora refuses to leave unless they kill Marcus (leader of the tiger men????)
Kirilow agrees and they start to escape, cuz hoes are after them
They’re running and find K2 gagged and bound and Kora’s like, “please come” and he’s like, “nah”
K2 is staying with the tiger men and says Marcus is a savior and also that their family really did cause this flu, Y I K E S
Chapter 33
Surprise surprise, all of this was to bait Kora and Kirilow into being kidnapped
K2 reveals that he’s now gonna be in charge of the tiger farms (called Jemini) and how they’re cloning hoes, how Marcus has the cure, and, essentially, how they can basically infect hoes and exploit them into paying mad money to get better
Uncle Wai is Kora’s father and he and Charlotte are still alive
K2 basically rid of all of them to get money, which girl...
Chapter 34
Kora and Kirilow are put in captivity together and it blows
Kora’s regrowing hand means she’s a Grist sister and she hates that
Kora keeps staring at Kirilow and it’s literally awful their captivity
Kora realizes the fish they’ve been eating every day for like 54 days while in captivity are probably her Grist sisters especially since she saw them go up as people and come down as fish on that elevator
Chapter 35
Calyx and random soldiers show up
Calyx is pregnant by K2, which feels illegal (what ever happened with this plot point?!)
Kirilow and Kora go talk to Marcus Traskin who says that Kora is the real heir of Jemini (the tiger farms) and suggests she run it with him
Kora’s like, “nah”
K2 rolls up with his niggas and they kill Marcus in front of Kora
Kora and Kirilow escape back to the dancing school
The streets are barren af
Only Velma, Tania, and Myra are left —Tania and Myra will be back later
Kora and Kirilow decide they’re gonna go to Grist
Kora tries to tell Isabelle that Marcus is dead, but the only scale she found was one of Isabelle cussing someone out
Chapter 36
Kirilow is given fish and wine and she’s like, “girl, why me?”
Myra and Tania get back from wherever they were
Velma searches for Kora, but gets taken
Kora shows up moments later
Then tear gas is thrown inside and then a machine gun/bomb scene plays out and our friends narrowly escape
Chapter 37
Kora, Kirilow, Tania, and Myra head to the border to get to the new origins archive in a different quarantine ring
Kora and Kirilow sneak into boxes and Kora is dumb and tries to watch from between the door of the truck she’s in
She sees people getting shot and horrible violence and it’s like wow my god
They get to the border and Tania waves her CEC privilege to get everyone through
But she, in the process, has to rejoin her family
The three (Kora, Kirilow, and Myra) then head to the archives and it’s all just very desolate and more than a little fucked up
Chapter 38
So they get to this woman named Elzbieta’s house who, tbh, I don’t remember or care about
She feeds they asses and it’s implied that Myra has been there a lot and Kirilow weirdly owes her money
Elzbieta is creepy and like knows everything about Kora and their current situation. She even knows about the new Grist village
Kirilow ain’t leavin’ no time soon
Chapter 39
Imma just assume that this shit is a dream
Kora like dreamt about hearing Delphine (her goat friend that everyone consumed) and reuniting with her mother
Then she experienced terrible violence
She got her catcoat back and then met random sisters
Almost got crushed by vegetables and then ate a weird dinner with weird sisters and her mom and Delphine were there and just like girl what?!
Now they’re sleeping?!
Chapter 40
Omg wtf are these final chapters
So Myra gets Kirilow and is like, “Kora’s been taken”
So they try to find Kora, but she’s gone
Myra also disappears out of nowhere
Kirilow is led to this weird door where she finds her mother double and is taken to a pool
Peristrophe is there and it’s cute, but then Kirilow cuts out Peristrophe’s heart, which is markedly less cute
Turns out all of them have been downloaded to Eng...?!?!?
I think that means they’ve been separated by body and mind
Kirilow barely escapes and makes it back upstairs
Chapter 41
Bitch...lol
So Kora is like in the abyss and then ends up with Elzbieta out of nowhere
Elzbieta is like, “oh girl, your father is on Chang, we must get you there” and Kora’s like, “girl, why you pullin so hard?!”
Then they get caught in a net
Idk some other stuff happened
Chapter 42
Kirilow ends up meeting Isabelle Chow who is literally White Diamond from Steven Universe
Isabelle talkin bout she needs Grist sisters probably for evilllllll
Or to have healthy volunteers go to Eng
Then they all go to dinner and Kirilow is forced to take spider dream (a drug?) and then a cork is shoved into a hole on Kirilow’s face?!
Kirilow starts to have flashbacks of the Grist kidnapping
Umm Isabelle launches an atomic bomb into Chang...?!
So that shit explodes and shit is flying everywhere
Isabelle gets hit in the head and is out for the count
Qué más...? Oh yeah Bombx, Kirilow, and Corydalis rush to find Kora and do find her, but she gets crushed and they’re about to lose her but, Kirilow starts cutting
Turns out Myra was the one who launched the rocket into Chang, which, girl, when?!
Everyone except Myra takes the batterkite (think a rocket) to the new Grist village
Chapter 43
There’s like a 156 year time jump where Kora, now a starfish tree (idk), is telling the new Grist sisters about the past and how people used to only have one baby and how tiger flu could ravage anyone, which is why they must drink the Miracle Milk (think Miracle Milk)
Kora also talked about how she used to not know who she was, and the story of how Kora became a tree (because tentacles of the batterkite were planted??????)
Kirilow is smoking weed, received a mushroom from Bombyx, and thinks about going back to the New Origins Archive to play with Peristrophe

I really didn’t care for all the gratuitous violence/gore, and the tone/pacing of the tiger men arc just didn’t make sense to me honestly - like why was K2 like that? What ever happened to Stash? What was the goal behind all of this and why couldn’t we see that unfold? It just was said, but I didn’t really understand K2’s MO. I just felt like the antagonists were lazy
Also, how did Elzbieta just conveniently know everything/who tf was she?!
